CMGP Releases the 4th Annual CMO's Agenda

When was the last time you sat down and had a conversation with a fellow Chief Marketing Officer to compare notes on what’s helping or hindering your success? How about conversations with 30 CMOs from across different industries? Don’t worry. We saved you the trouble. At CMG Partners, we’re constantly challenging ourselves to stay in step with our clients, lead marketers in growing companies who believe in the power of strategic marketing. It’s our mission to help them succeed in their roles, and in this quest, we’ve also learned that the lead marketers we talk with every day share similar struggles and points of view but are often too consumed with the demands of their position to connect with CMOs in their own industry – let alone outside of their category – to get a broader view of what’s happening that impacts this critical role. That’s why we created the CMO’s AgendaTM, a platform for harnessing the power of collective knowledge to share stories of triumph and tribulation with the marketing community. And when we share the results, we prefer to ask frankly, "Do you agree?" Sometimes you do and sometimes you don’t. That’s the beauty of the complex role of the CMO. Through our research initiative, we have rich, one-on-one conversations with more than 30 lead marketers to learn not just what is keeping them up at night, but perhaps more importantly; what are the drivers for success? What’s on their agenda? And what prevents them from accomplishing their agenda? And doing so on an annual basis, we are able to watch as the dynamics and purview of this role adapt over time in response to changing marketplace conditions and an evolving global business climate.
