With one of its US partners declaring bankruptcy, they had the chance to expand their business by purchasing the company out of receivership. CMG Partners was brought in to provide commercialization due diligence by assessing the overall health of the retail channel and provide a go/no-go recommendation for purchase.Using a combination of dealer interviews, web surveys, research and demand forecasting, we were able to provide a full risk assessment of the tractor market. In addition to developing a value for the target company, we provided a strategy to secure the sales channel and successfully integrate the target company’s brand into LS Tractor. Based on our recommendation, LS Tractor chose to not buy the company. Instead, using our assessment of the retail channel, they started a new subsidiary that was able to quickly enter the retail market with the support of a large number of dealers. |
