The Role

We're searching for a marketer living in the Durham/Raleigh, NC area who is able to effectively combine the science and art of marketing to help our clients win in the marketplace. A marketer who has structured thinking, is able to effectively frame problems, identify solutions, and develop fact bases to support their recommendations. The ability to both think strategically and execute flawlessly is critical to achieving success in this role.

You'll be given the opportunity to leverage your analytical capabilities to support diverse client engagements across the full continuum of marketing in a number of ways:
  • Marketing: support strategy formulation through  a diverse range of work such as assessing market opportunities, developing customer insights, and evaluating marketing strategies and performance
  • Client management:  communicate key findings, participate in client interactions, support account leads and engagement managers to strengthen and grow client relationships
  • Project management: manage multiple concurrent work-streams and priorities for distinct projects, support development of client deliverables, organize aspects of projects

Functional Qualifications

The ideal candidates possess a BS or BA along with 4-6 years of strategic marketing experience, primarily through roles involving competitor/market/segmentation analysis, consumer insight generation, campaign (including both online and offline) evaluation or data mining. Ideally these roles would include proven success in:
  • The ability to assess data findings, synthesize into relevant insights, and provide implications and recommendations
  • Applying diagnostic skills to analyze and identify discrepancies within data sets
  • Demonstrated proficiency with software tools such as Excel, SPSS, Cognos, SAS, or Siebel to gather and assess data, create models, or develop automated processes and reporting
Some consulting or client-facing experience is preferred. Additionally, travel is required and the amount will vary over time depending on client location and needs.
